Tampa, FL – Pantograms Manufacturing Co., Inc., a distributor of DTG direct to garment printers announces the improved white ink technology of the WIMS (White Ink Management System). The patent pending WIMS II is the latest technology in dark shirt printing, which reduces preventive maintenance by re-circulating ink via a pressurized peristaltic pump system coupled with pressure release filters and dampers. This keeps the ink moving to aid in preventing clogs or ink waste.
In Standby Mode, when the printer is powered on but not printing, WIMS circulates and filters ink for 10 minutes every two hours. Standby Mode automatically detects when printer is in use and begins constantly circulating and filtering white ink, and provides a slight positive pressure to keep ink flowing smoothly. This pressure also allows the wiper to effectively remove old ink from the printhead when a printhead cleaning is performed. When the printer becomes idle again, WIMS automatically returns to Standby Mode.
Overall, this latest innovation drastically reduces the maintenance required on the printers, and maintains the integrity and life of the printhead through prevention of white ink coagulation, over coming two of the biggest challenges faced by digital garment printer users to date.
