Oiling the TOYOTA Expert 860
Oiling is important for maintaining the machine performance over an extended period of time. Be sure to oil your machine as instructed below. Oil sparingly without using excessive oil to avoid spotting on the garments you are embroidering. (After oiling try stitching on two pieces of backing or placing rinse away topping over the first garment).
There are 13 oiling locations on the TOYOTA Expert 860. Most all of them require 1 drop of oil after 8 hours of production. It’s recommended to oil first thing in the morning to allow for the oil to move through the machine. Once oiled you may wish to either stitch out on some backing to get rid of the excess oil or place a water-soluble topping on the first garment of the day.

By using the A/M button on the control panel put the machine in needle position 12 and oil the 5 red spots on the right side cover. Oil 1 drop daily. |
||
Place the machine in needle position 6 and open the door cover. Notice the red spot on the needle bar. Rotate the hand wheel to oil the 2 spots on the crank rod of the needle bar. (You may need to remove the black rubber cover next to needle bar. You may wish to take off the side cover the first time to see exactly where you are oiling.) |

The two locations designated below require 1 drop of oil weekly. To reach these spots lubricate the rail in needle position 1 and needle position 12 as shown in the pictures below.
